About us

At Four ThirTEENS, we believe that all youth, especially those from under-resourced backgrounds, deserve a positive environment in which they can learn, grow, and thrive. Our mission is to create a warm and welcoming space where students can come together to share, learn, and maximize their potential for success.

Our Mission:

Through positive relationships with caring adults, Four ThirTEENS aims to enhance academic achievement, self-esteem, social competence, and deter students from engaging in problem/high-risk behavior. We are committed to empowering our students to reach their full potential and providing them with the tools they need to succeed.

“A creative education has the power to catapult children into a lifetime of curiosity.”

Our Goals:

  1. Foster a greater sense of community and belonging.

  2. Cultivate respectful interactions to reduce misunderstandings and conflicts.

  3. Create a safe learning environment.

  4. Increase students' comfort with academic expectations and social relationships.

  5. Provide opportunities for students to connect with college students and trade professionals.

  6. Support one another through successes and struggles.

  7. Develop leadership skills.

  8. Empower and prepare youth for stable, affordable housing after aging out of foster care.

  9. Guide youth in building a strong economic foundation for themselves.
